TRIALS OFFICER

Red Lands Roses is expanding its farm to 44 ha and wishes to strengthen its variety testing and selection team by recruiting a Trials Officer.

We look for an agronomist with strong observation skills and excellent memory.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the Trials Supervisor:

The candidate should be connected to customer requirements trends in terms of colors, shape, length.

She/he should master cut roses quality standards such as vase life, pest and disease resistance, length, yields.

She/he should be capable to do personally hands on crop husbandry work and be willing to learn..

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree / Diploma in Horticulture or Agriculture related field.
• 3 years’ experience in a Rose flower farm.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Access Excel knowledge and strong data base knowledge is required.
• Photo and report writing capabilities.
• Available to travel for visiting breeders long days.
• Working 6 days a week including Sunday.
